Should Jive Magic Change Their Venue?
« on: January 24, 2005, 12:55 PM »
Jenn & I are considering moving our freestyles to the Newport Centre.

Before we make the final decision, one way or the other, we'd like some feedback. Please use this mini poll to express an opinion. Any additional comments would also be welcome.

The Newport Centre has a lovely (large) dance floor, excellent (clean) facilities & plenty of car parking.

Many thanks,

Jon

Hi John,

Simon and I come over to the Electricity Club on a regular basis and would obviously prefer Newport as it is nearer, but if you don't change, we will still make the extra journey!    ;D

See you soon

Well, we have babysitters in Cardiff, so Eletricity club's easier for us, but not that much extra stretch to go over to your dances.  Cardiff first, then back to Newport... can be done!

We follow the music!

The Bristol LeRoc / modern jive dance classes are diverse and provide a blend of teaching styles and music styles that are complimentary. If you want to keep them... go to your classes and support them! Check out the free dance, music and theatre clipart images in the new Clipart Library

Thanks for the comments so far. Forgot to include in my original posting...

Are you happy with the Electricity Club as a venue or do the facilities put you off???

The floor is level isn't it??  ::)  Seriously though, the facilities are a little bit past it, but we always have a good time there and would continue coming over!

Would it be possible to try just one event in Newport and see what the reaction is?

Well the existing venue's fine, but the hand-dryer in the men's toilet is the equivalent of "Arkwright's Till" from "Open All Hours".  You get your fingers too close to it and you lose them!  Though in this case the flesh is blasted away by a stream of superheated gas rather than just surgically chopped at the knuckles.

Personally I like the cosy environment in there, it suits my tastes.
