A posse from Bristol ended up at Twyford last night!  :)  We arrived to see the end of the dance with a stranger competition and Danny (of Jenni and Danny) ended up winning with the fab Mary from London!   :)  Becki took second place with the delicious Bill from Scotland and Marti Baby made the finals!  All in all not a bad night for the Bristol dancers - well done!

A wonderful night with good music from Toby Won Kenobe and Dan the Man.  Some lovely touches, inlcuding tea and cakes about 11.30pm.  Also absolutely no quibbles over refunding two tickets for two friends who couldn't make it.  I defintely recommend this venue for the out of towners!

Yes we too went down to Taunton on Friday evening , very busy , and Gary had the dance floor absolutely packed all night with his choice of tracks , could hardly move at times !

The selection of music was varied ,  yet excellent and the fact that the dance floor was packed all night and we  mean all night really says it all !

Thanks to Gary and his team ,

Lin  :)

Hopefully Becky will be there in her fab diner outfit again, so that I can take some photos!

John.

Awwww i didnt get to wear my diner girl outfit. I was torn between which venue to go to last weekend.

Twford was a top venue tho, and i had 3 really nice partners in the dance with a stranger comp - (they swapped the partners after each round so you didnt know who you were going to get - i wish they would do this in the national DWAS comps, it makes things much more fun)

Hey john at the next venue you dance, the diner girloutfit might make a brief apperance.

PS John, do you actually dance, cos ive never even see you, let alone dance with you. You're like this lil 'spirit' or 'demon' that lives on the Forum and doenst really have a body.

Ah yes, I do exist.  You tap your heels together three times, and say "There's no such webmaster, there's no such webmaster..."

Oh dear, I appear to have disappeared in a cloud of logic.

Ah, back again.  (Sorry about that - been reading too many of JiveDave's posts I think).  >:D

In answer to the questions... I dance whenever I can, but that is very rarely at present, due to new kids, new house, new job, and M.E.  I do dance some Wednesdays at Elmgrove, where I moonlight as a teacher when needed, but that's more the exception than the rule at present.

Once things settle down and my parents finally move up to Bristol (yay babysitters! - they've bought the house but won't move in until the buildig work's finished on it) I will be making more appearances at dances.  With any luck I'll have Sue (my long-suffering wife who shudders in disgust and horror at tales from my childhood) with me too.

You have seen me briefly though - else I wouldn't know about the Diner Girl outfit!

John.

Hmmm, "Diner Girl" and "Lycra Boy".

Sounds like the title to a really really bad film!

I'll show you mine (plus sausage roll) if you show me yours!

(You may need to refer to this post for clarification on the "sausage roll" comment!)
