Hi everyone,

Brit Rock rocked!  ;D ;D

Still shattered from the whole event. How lucky was I to get Phil Webb in DWAS?!!! Though I must thank Jamie who I was partnered with for the first two rounds to even make the semis, which was when they swapped us around.

Still hasn't really sunk in that Chris and I won Advanced - aaagggghhhh!
Thanks to everyone who supported us and a special thanks to Jenni for her help and advice. It was about this time 2 years ago that I walked into Sherif and Jenni's class at Yate Leisure Centre, wondering what the hell Leroc was. Who'd have thought it would have come to this!  :o :o

THANK YOU!
Sha xx

Well done Sharon!   :)  Your outfit was amazing in the final - and you looked every bit the deserved champion.  (I would also comment on the dancing - but we were dancing in the same round etc!)

A big thank you to my dance partner Lyndsey.  The last few weeks have been a bit of nightmare for you I know, young family, demanding full time job... me on your case about trying to get some practicing in!  We pulled something special on the day tho - to get placed 2nd in the advanced.  Well done super woman!

A huge thank you to Donna and Elaine, for your support and encouragement these last few months - You are something both pretty unique! - Infact I am pretty lucky to be surrounded by so many extraordinary females in this dancing world we live in - would not have achieved anything dancewise without you all!  (I won't embarrass you all by naming you all tho.... you know who you are .....enough blubber!  ;)  )

PS:
The Bristol Posse was holding strong as always - we commandered the same area as last year - bit of a tradition going on there by the looks of it.

Hey Forum chickens :D

What a great experience Brit Rock was, apart from the fact that I am still struggling to move my neck after a little bit of whiplash in the hot spot competition and that I currently walk with a limp!  And I have a feeling that one of my bee stings may have made a sneaky appearance in front of a female judge who promptly elbowed her male colleague to point it out  :embarassed: :embarassed: But hey, no pain no gain. :uglystupid2: I met some lovely new people there this time, but it was great to have the Bristol clan supporting us so a  bh to you.

I can't wait to see the video so that I can watch Sharon and Chris do their thang, I wonder whether it will arrive before the Weston DVD...... ::)

Thanks Marty (and Marvin and Martha the monkeys) for all your preparation and leadership, we wouldn't have done as well without it! (someone needs to put order into my life!)

And now for something different - I am just embarking on a Ceroc teacher training course, starting first thing in the morning.......

Watch this space  ::) ::) ::)

Ok you new bites remember us? The old gits,we were not only there to compete but as part of the Bristol contingency and there to support everybody
Sue and Garth, Alex and myself entered the Senior Section,Jennie and Danny in Advanced who were brilliant.and Becki who was in Dance with a Stranger.
Very well done to you guys that won or got placed, but just thought all who took part should at least get a mention. Iit is the fun of taking part that keeps us all going and trying again and again doing something we all love.
So here's to Blackpool, good luck to everyone.

Sorry Lin, its always 'me me me'!  Can I be forgiven? :'(

Well done to you, alex, garth and sue for taking part - and to Anne and Becki for being sports in DWAS.

woah there Lin!

....if you look at the "other place" you'll see I've put nothing on the Britroc thread at all aboout any of us!....

.... not really in the mood to do the "congrats and luvvies to everyone" thing at the moment... I think the other bristol guys are the same way.... its the end of a long years competition run... and we all want to just chill....

Only being polite and replying to banter from the pink queenie Squeak....

...already had a long chat with Becki.... already spoke to Elaine and voiced my praises about Danny and Jenni's lead/follow - they are looking the real deal - scaryly good.... Bumped into you guys on Brighton Peir... only people missed were Sue and Garth... nice guys... very unassuming and softly spoken.......    >:D   O0

Cheers
Martin   :)

PS:
Get Alex to beat me up next time you see me if you like!   :crazy2:
