DRAMA AT THE ELECTRICITY CLUB
« on: December 17, 2006, 10:00 PM »
Hi Guys,

For any of you who attended the Electricity Club dance run by Jive Magic on Friday night , the dancer who collapsed and suffered a near fatal heart on the dancefloor is making a recovery and is still in Hospital and is being closely monitored , Jax updated Linda and I Today so the news is good news. Thank god there were some medics at ths dance who assisted bringingthis poor chap back from the brink several times , those guys and gals deserve medals and Alan , Mark and I also assisted in this real life scarey situation , it`s a great feeling to know he is on the mend after what was a very close call ! that was most definately the longest 17minutes that i have experienced from the time we assisted until the paramedics got to him

Hi

Yes Alex this was a very humbling moment that had a profound affect on all who were at the dance. I sure we all wish John a very speady recovery.

This unfortunate incident brings to our attention the importance of knowing, as teachers, our responsibility and that we should be aware that some of our pupils may have health issues that we should be aware of.  I shall be asking my class to inform Maurice or myself, Confidentially of course, if there are any health issues we should know about in case such and incident, God forbid, should arise again.

Marry Christmas to you all, be nice to each other and never take anything for granted...

Lizzie and Rich xx

I?m so glad that things are looking a lot more positive! Fingers X things continue that way.

On two other occasions I have seen this happen with tragic results at a dance.

Perhaps improving all our fitness especially for those of us who are carrying a few extra pounds or stressed at work would be a good new year?s resolution?

Good points ref Teachers responsibility.

Let?s all have a good Christmas & love to you all

Hi All

Latest update on Fred - He is doing well and says hi to everyone who was at the dance - He will be in hospital over christmas and they are talking of fitting him with a pace maker. He has asked me to reserve him a ticket for next year's weston ball so there is no keeping him from the dancing says he would rather die dancing then at home - so good on Fred!!! Told him though he may have trouble getting the ladies to dance with him at first!!!! He says to wish everyone a merry christmas and i have told him i will go and visit him over the christmas - will keep you updated -
Ray (the doctor) also wants me to pass on his regards and thanks and says you all worked as a great team and its the reason the outcome is so good SO A BIG THANKS YOU GUYS!!!
Jax
