Anyone else got the flu?

So,

Having had a lovely week's holiday booked (at home) with my wife, the Monday of it arrives and I go down with flu.  Typical.

Anyone suffering here from this dose that's going around? *hack hack*?

Sue's coping fine.  She managed to get away with just the sniffles for a few days, though Rebecca (our darling daughter, alias "The Incubator Of Germs") didn't fare so well. 

Ho hum.

Oh well, I get a few cosy nights in - just me, Sue, a red nose and a large box of tissues...

my tip for avoiding colds/flu, is "saline nasal irrigation".  it sounds a bit gross, but it works--keeps the nose clean and washes out any germs.  I have to do this due to sinus problems and it is definitely good for avoiding colds.

Don't think it helps once you've actually caught one unfortunately...

Nope, full-on anybody's flu.

Full list of symptons (I checked the off the list as I went, to ensure I got enough sympathy from Sue!).

I've killed 5 boxes of tissues in the last week alone.

Anyway, men obviously are more affected by illness than women.

Women don't exhibit pain or discomfort in the same way as men - something to do with the effect of waxing, I think...

My Doctors has a wonderful test for flu
On the phone, He asked me if a £20 pound note was blowing round the garden
Would I get out of bed to get it?
I replied No
He confirmed I had flue

Yes, noticed you had problems with a runny nose when we were dancing last  night at park st Graham!-- I have to say that, for a man , you are being very brave! ;)
