Bridgwater was very good last night , Gary ensured that the dancefloor was busy all night and a surprise buffet was most welcome , Gary and his team made a real effort  , it was not "fancydress" but a silver and red theme and it certainly added to the atmosphere , only six dancers from Bristol though , Saturday night and where was everyone !  this venue is certainly worth a visit , nice to see Mark and Lizzie strutting their stuff preparing for Blackpool , will most certainly go again whenever we can.

Alex :)

Yes--I enjoyed Bridgewater last time I went --& Gary & Sylv are such lovely people--would have loved to have gone again but busy with family this weekend. :)

......it was not "fancydress"........... Alex :)

Reminds me of a friend who was invited to a Christmas dinner party by his account

?Of course its fancy dress old boy? the accountant told my friend

My friend and wife spent the following week making there outfits
He went a Christmas tree, his wife as a Christmas pudding
Unfortunately by ?fancy dress? the accountant meant Black Tie...

Nailsea was good, and not overcrowded

Diana played  Grace Kelly by Mika (but a lot of us old fogies thought   it was a lost Queen track)

i knew it were grace kelly imejiately - didn't she make the mistake of letting the kids drive the royal Rover (not RR) on a mountain road?

Anyhow - thought Nailsea was pretty good : nice floor, plenty of room, coolish, good parking and handier from bristol than i expected.
Though there was some rock and roll, i thought there was a good spread of music through 4 decades or so - but i don't think there were any/many slow (ish) tracks? Slight excess of men on my side of the hall but i'd like to go again. Saw quite a few people i've seen before , especially at john and jacquie's class.  :)

Yes, I reiterate Alex's comments.  I would also like to add that the Bridgwater venue has a superb dancefloor, very similar to the BAWA ballroom, and there was a really good atmosphere with balloons and candlelight.  Gary and his team always make a big effort with their decorations and it is much appreciated. He always plays a good selection of music which always goes down well.  I'm certainly looking forward to the next dance there.
