Nice to see Marty et al at Balboa last night
« on: August 07, 2007, 09:48 AM »
Got to say Marty & his little gang of Jivers (from Clifton I guess) made a really good stab at Graeme & Ann's Balboa class night. Talk about being chucked in the deep end!

For anyone not familiar with Balboa, it is in my opinion the hardest of the swing dances & completely alien to Jivers - eight count footwork, high tempo music from a past era, VERY close hold an unusual method of leading and few moves. So it was particularly pleasing to see so many "young 'uns" giving it a good go and making progress (they even seemed to be enjoying themselves)  O0
