Unfortunately this was the last T dance until the autumn - apparently numbers drop off during the spring / summer holiday period.

It seems as thopugh they don't advertise it on their own web site but brief details of dances can be found on uk-jive.co.uk.

As for the event itself, it was pretty much like any other dance at Taunton just with lower numbers. The people are friendly - they spotted us as outsiders but in a nice way. The music is a fun mix from Touch and Go - Straight to No 1 to J'ai du Boogie by Scooter Lee, From Basement Jaxx Oh My Gosh to All That Jazz with seemingly all points in between covered.

The floor is a bit small (Makes St Bons look big) and a bit sticky in parts, but that didn't detract.

Unsurprisingly there were a few more ladies than gents and the standard ranged from Beginner through to Advanced - Julia danced with a guy who I think is the teacher there who was excellent and apparently a lot of fun to dance with.

As I said above, we will be going there again - April 8 to be precise. NB that event is all ticket and was nearly sold out on Sunday.

The Taunton punters also seem to make a large part of the westlands audience so I'd have no hesitation going there now.
