The West Coast swing weekender at Weston was absolutely fabulous--amazing teachers and workshops all day Saturday and Sunday, and the competitions and Demos were really out of this world--the standard of dancing was far higher than anything I've ever seen.
Quite a few familiar faces from the Jive scene in Bristol , Bath , Gloucester and Cardiff there--as well as people from all over the country. Congrats to Tom Baker on his place in one of the WCS competitions-- his Dad looked pretty good on the dance floor too! (sorry I missed your dance at Gloucester  :embarassed:). Looks like Cardiff's Mark & Jackie might be adding WCS to their repertoire too !
Apologies to Simon Bowker--by the time I got to dance with him  late Sunday night, I could hardly walk let alone West Coast swing properly!!  :-\ Think it takes most people a very long time to do this dance well, but am determined to get there in the end--however, it was a relief to go into the Jive room sometimes and do something easy and familiar for a change ;)

No need to apologise to me, Anita.  We had a good dance plus some people were so tired by the end of the weekend that they could barely string a coherent sentence together!!!

All in all, a fabulous weekend.  O0  :)  8)

I was at Hammersmith freestyle, and demoing for H.

Missed it last year cos it clashed with Cerocs 25th Anniversary weekender.

Grrrrrr, maybe next year :)
