Kingswood 1 April
« on: April 01, 2005, 11:41 PM »
A really good evening  :D
Not too crowded, in fact just about the perfect number of really good dancers and I guess fairly even numbers

Derek DJ ed the first half of the night and Steve and Second
An excellent with an selection of tracks

Congratulations to Sharon, on your promotion to the Booty girls. Sharon decided to get some practise in by dancing in Knee high boots - all night  :o

A few more men than ladies, but not too bad. And, yup, definitely some lovely dancers amongst them.

I wasn't getting the music @ Kingswood last night, but I think it was just me*.  ::) Although, saying that, there were a few blinders - particularly that Latin-y version of the Animals Please Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood

(Actually, I wasn't getting the music at the Bierkeller much, afterwards either
[/color] (*which is why I suspect it was just me!  ). That is until the dj stopped playing that ridiculous hair metal & started with things like Rage Against The Machine, Green Day, The Prodigy, the new Nine Inch Nails (which is gorgeous), and Rammstein, natch. ;))

Yep was fun. I too was impressed with Sharon's boots (not in a kninky way I might add)

WRT music generally a thumbs up but not all to my taste (but why should I get everything I want?)

Was really hot though - what does it get like in summer? Should leroc be reclassified as a winter sport?

Particular thanks to Graham for in spite of having the stress of running a class earlier still finding the charm and good grace to compliment Julia on her dancing - what a gent.

If the old legs are up to it we'll be at a rock n roll gig in Portishead tonight (Gloucester's a bit far for us)

Am not sure about who Sharon is, but I do remember a fine pair of boots. If it's the lady I'm thinking of, she wore them to Yate on Tuesday, too. They are gorgeous. Will dig out Patrick McNee & Honor Blackman for you sometime, Andrew.  ;)

And cheers to G for Vem Vet from me, too.  ;D I did try to get a dance with you, Andrew - but you seemed to be very much in demand!

Sorry, had a couple of bevvies after an energetic day and misread in a malapropic way about Sharon's boots - bit like shopfitters and shoplifters
