Just to let you know that tickets are on sale now for the Bristol Cajun & Zydeco Festival 2008 at the Folk House, Park Street Fri 17 - Sun 19 October 2008. I have been every year and would highly recommend it to anyone. The bands are always superb and some of them come from all over the world as do a lot of the people as well. It is always a really friendly and fun atmosphere and is a whole weekend of brilliant Cajun and Zydeco music, dancing and culture. Don't worry if you can't dance Cajun or Zydeco because they have really good dance workshops as well and you can soon pick it up. You can also do as I have done and dance any kind of jiving style, like Le Roc, to the music, and as I have said before if I can dance to it then anyone can. You can check it on their web page
