Good stuff at the BAWA for the next 2 Sundays (maybe 3)

Aug 31 Darrell Higham - OK he'll be playing REALLY fast stuff but if you like RnR he's one of the best guitarists out there
Sept 7 The Revolutionaires - Saw them last weekend at Twinwood & they are just a brilliant dance band. More RnB than RnR and they put on a great show as well
According to the BAWA web site:
Sept 14 The Jive Aces - everyone must know about them by now! Great fun and lots of danceable stuff is guaranteed from the self styled "Hardest working band"
(The Jive Aces web site says they're in the USA though)

Mmmm, the Jive Aces.

I haven't seen them yet, even though I do want to at some point.

I wonder if the Bristol contingent of the "Jive Aces Religious Appreciation Society" will be there?

Oh well, if they play good music and leave me to do my own thing, then good luck to them.

John.
The Bristol LeRoc / modern jive dance classes are diverse and provide a blend of teaching styles and music styles that are complimentary. If you want to keep them... go to your classes and support them! Check out the free dance, music and theatre clipart images in the new Clipart Library

Well time moves on and The Revolutionaires are back on Sunday March 1 - Once again I think they are well worth a go.
March 8 Joey and the Jivers - lots of energy and a good range of tunes (and a mean boogie woogie piano)
March 15 The Lennerockers - not seen them but will be making the effort to get there as people rave about them

Lot's more good bands coming up over the next few months (and yes the Jives Aces will be back again)

It's just £5 for entry (plus £1 temp membership if you aren't a member)
