Hi All,
The routine from last night was:
| Beginners I | - Arch - First move - Loophole
| Beginners II | - Arch - First move - Loophole - (Change places) *
|
| Intermediates | - Shoulder pass - Kleaver lean - Natalean - Turning first move seducer
* During beginners part 1, the first three beginner moves were taught. During beginners part 2, the first three moves were revised and an additional fourth move added in.
For more info on how to do the beginner moves, see our free online detailed moves manual.
Tonight's theme was leaning - and the techniques and tips to make it work.
We covered:
- Different support positions using arms, hips, legs and hands. - Different grips to use during the dips and drops. - Safety considerations for different floors, music speeds and shoe types. - Different styles of entry into the dips dependent upon music speed. - Style and technique for the ladies during leans. - Control of the lady entering into the move (pre-positioning).
We also provided alternative moves for those who wanted to do the routine without straining backs.
The same style of move was taught three times (using different move entries) to allow practice of the techniques involved in a safe environment.
Here's some of the music from the evening:
