A while back I used to have lists on this site.

I know that I did a moves list (for beginners) for Elmgrove LeRoc that has photos for each beat of every move.  That's here:

http://www.elmgrove-leroc.co.uk/Moves_Beginner.htm

There is one interesting site (well it was interesting last time I saw it anyway) that has a massive searchable dance database.

http://www.jiveoholic.org.uk/default.asp

It's worth a look for lots of info on moves...

John.

Thanks John - An interesting site. I have added it to my favorites to browse at leisure. It claims to have 628 moves described, including 30 accordions! However they appear to include a lot of compound moves or moves that must be learnt rather than led. Some of the acrobatic moves are very challenging.

Why did you remove the moves lists from this site? I have found giving a move a name makes it easier to remember.

Andrew

Well the list of moves was published by Bristol LeRoc, about 10 years ago.

When they closed the class I removed their page (for tidiness).  I didn't have the forum at the time so didn't transfer the moves into here.

Maybe next time... :)

There's another searchable dance move database at http://ccgi.dancecrave.plus.com/ which I found very useful when I was new to dancing.
