Review: Nailsea LeRoc Beach Party, 20th June 2009

Well, this is the first time I've been to the Nailsea Scotch Horn Leisure Centre for a dance (I've been once for a normal class though).

I have to say that Diana really puts on a good show.

The music was excellent - it matched my tastes quite nicely.  Some of it reminded me of my school days at the discos, but hey - the variation was nice.

I drank lots of coffee and had lots of dances with some very nicely dressed (or undressed) ladies - it was a theme party after all.  A lot of people made a great effort, though it has to be said that the ladies shone in this department.  Thankfully nobody turned up in speedos!

The venue was pretty much full to capacity, but not enough so that people were bumping into each other, which was really nice, and I don't remember any tracks where the floor emptied - it seemed full all evening.

Derek was on form, and brought along lots of garden / beach furniture, so mock-straw sun umbrellas slowly turned up to shade a few tables during the evening. :)

Overall I had a really great evening, and enjoyed myself immensely.

Today I can hardly move, but I feel like I earned that fair and square after going a bit mental on the dance floor all night.

Can't wait for the next one!

John.

Yes this was yet another great dance hosted by Nailsea Leroc.  O0

I wouldn't recommend Beach Kaftan Cover ups for dancing in though.  Mine was synthetic and very soon felt like I was wearing a plastic bag, which is why for first time ever at a dance I changed halfway through the evening....and as for sunglasses, didn't really know who was there at all until I took them off.

Looking forward to the next one :) :) :).

Oh yes, I really enjoyed it.  O0 O0 O0 I thought that the music was better than the last time at Nailsea and as per I danced all night.  I was really, really tired after a busy week at work, a really late night on Friday when I want to a singles night in Gloucester and got lost on the way and back and didn't get home until the early hours after driving for most of the night, a busy day Saturday etc., etc., queuing up and spending over an hour at the Vodafone shop at The Mall trying to sort out a few problems with my mobile - don't even start me on that  :crazy2: :idiot2: :tickedoff: :uglystupid2:.  It is also a long drive from Fishponds to Nailsea but it was well worth it and I was glad I made the effort.  As usual, once I actually arrived at the venue and heard the music I sort of woke up and then carried on dancing all night. Thanks to Dianne and the team and all the lovely ladies  :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: who danced with me again.
