Another great night at Melksham last Saturday with Ginger Jive as per with the brilliant DJ and it was a "you say we play" night. Every song they played was again on the money in my book. Those of you that know me know that I make regular "pit stops" during the night to have a quick wash, slap on the deo, change of T shirt and back out again on the dance floor. Well, because the music was so good I would be on the way to the gents and never get there as another great track would be playing so I turned around and carried on dancing. So, I do aplogise ladies if I wasn't as clean and fresh as I normally am, well, maybe I was still as "fresh" as ever!. One of the songs they played was "Don't stop me now" by Queen and it really summed up the whole night for me. Another song they played was a version of one of my fave dancing tracks "Mercy" by Duffy sang by some guy. I don't know who it was and I had never heard that version before. I guess someone will no doubt join in and let us know who it was and submit a video. Anyway, thanks to the team, the DJ and, oh yes, all the ladies who danced with me.
p.s. I am sorry lads but I really let the side down last Saturday as I proved that men, or at least me, cannot multitask. I drove from Fishponds to pick up my female dancing companion at Bath. As we were in Bath we decided to go to Melkhsham and not Nailsea as I was informed that it was only a 10 minute drive from Bath to Melksham. Well, I just couldn't cope with the whole driving/listening/chatting/navigating thing and we got hopelessly lost and ended up driving around in a big, big circle and it took us nearly an hour and a half to reach Melksham! And, after the dance we were playing it safe by following a kind lady in her car back to Bath but I lost track of her en route and took a wrong turning again! You may be wondering what my female companion was doing all this time. She was just sitting there chatting, looking pretty and smiling sweetly the whole time, well what more could a man ask for?
