Hi

A response on www.Dance-Card.com has suggested that it would be a good idea to advertise an event in Bristol on your site.

A colleague of mine is battling cancer and is organising a Blackout Party on 26 February to raise funds for Cancer Research. The attached poster gives details but there will be a Lindy Hop demo, live bands, music, dancing, wartime decorations and 1940s dress (so plenty of stockings and suspenders and uniforms).  Bristol Temple Meads Train station is next door to "The Tunnels" venue.

Hope the attachment is enough information for an advert, but please do not hesitate to contact me if there are any problems.

Regards

Jill Fenton

Hi All,

This came in from Jill regarding the event:

Hi John

Sian appeared in the Bristol Evening Post.  The link below will take you to the article which gives more information about her cancer and Blackout Party.  Unfortunately her prognosis doesn’t look great, although she is optimistic in the article.

Thank you again for your support with the event.  It would be great if it was a sell out.

Hmmm, that site seems to be down at the moment...

Crushed under the weight of readers perhaps?  ::)

Still, I love clothes from that era - the ladies always look superb.  If is wasn't for the war, I would want to be born then.

John.

The Bristol LeRoc / modern jive dance classes are diverse and provide a blend of teaching styles and music styles that are complimentary. If you want to keep them... go to your classes and support them! Check out the free dance, music and theatre clipart images in the new Clipart Library

Vivian of Holloway strictly for those well endowed up top though - daughter bought one of her dresses, we couldn't get it to fit either her or me, not even with a bit of extra padding !!! Ended up selling it again on ebay.
