Mayo and Chips
« on: May 15, 2010, 10:19 AM »

The midnight refreshments were pleasant - teas, coffees, cakes, biscuits, and (of course) the much anticipated plate of chips and brown / white bread ready for making butties.  The usual sauces were on offer as well, including mayo!  (how do people put mayo on chips - shouldn't be allowed...)

The French put Mayo on their chips as standard - you have to ask if you prefer to have le ketchup.

I don't mind either but would never mix the two......

I seems there is a  possibility of chips and brandy butter tonight (but don't blame me  if there isn't)

Ceroc @ Southmead was very well attended last night and there was indeed chips--eaten with mayo , with ketchup, and in some cases, with both--but none with brandy butter--although there were mince pies!  :D
