Hi All

An enjoyable evening was had last night.

The venue was quite presentable as ever, though it was one hot, muggy night.

The music was enjoyable - the floor was full all the way through, although it seemed that people were avoiding the super-fast tracks somewhat due to the climate in the hall!

Unfortunately Sue and I left early due to not feeling too well - both of us were quite dizzy for some reason, but we managed a couple of hours of dancing - and we are certainly looking forward to the next Workshop & dance with Simon & Nicole on the 26th June 2010.

The only alarming point in the night was one of my first dances, were somebody's fingernail got caught under my wedding ring, and I ripped off about half a cm worth of nail!  Yikes!  Thankfully the lady in question wasn't harmed - she found it quite amusing.  This could almost be the start of a new topic for later - "What mementos do you have of dancing with the ladies?"

All in all, a nice night - thank you Clifton LeRoc!

John.

Yep, I second that emotion.  Another good night at The Folk Centre with Clifton Le Roc. Another night of brilliant music, no competitions, show dances, no lessons - just dancing to a good mixture of good "dancing" music all night from start to finish. It was a hot and muggy night but I managed to keep dancing for most of the night as there were loads of lovely ladies. :smitten: :smitten: I did have a bit of a wardrobe malfunction as my bracers wouldn't stay attached but I think I got away with it ..... I was really looking forward to the dance and I wasn't disappointed. For those of you who didn't make it last nignt and who were one of the 19 million or so people staying in to watch Britains Got Talent then shame on you as you missed another good night.
