What unexpected mementos do you have from dancing?
« on: June 06, 2010, 07:10 AM »
Hi,

Having acquired part of a lady's fingernail during a dance last night (!) by getting it caught in my wedding ring (of all things), I was wondering...

What mementos (expected OR unexpected) do you have from dancing with people on the dancefloor?

This could be anything - the funnier or more unusual the better!

I open the bidding with: one lady's fingernail:2funny:

John.

P.S. "a chain of ears on a piece of string" is NOT an acceptable answer...

Well, I have done better than a fingernail on several occasions while wearing my tassle dress.  I have managed to catch a whole man  ;D

Before I cut all the tassles, they were looped.  Men wearing waistcoats were particularly at risk. The loops would catch on the waistcoat buttons and hey presto - man snared. Only solution - man to remove waistcoat and then continue dancing.
It didn't seem to happen so much with shirt buttons, which is kind odd.

Ah, waistcoats have larger and more prominent buttons than shirts do...
