Rocky Horror night
« on: July 09, 2010, 11:40 AM »
Hi All,

Hands up all those who went to the Rocky Horror show at the Bristol Hippodrome last night!

I have never been before so was not really knowing what to expect.

I managed some outfit - white lab coat, rubber gloves **, but the other outfits on display were a bit mind-boggling.  *

I have to say that there are now some of the usual dance crowd that I will never look at quite the same again... :D

A few songs were superb - The Time Warp the biggest crowd-pleaser amongst them, but all in all a wholly enjoyable evening.

Karen - fantastic work on organising the tickets, well done!

John.

* I boggled even more when, during the break, I needed to go to the toilet.  I followed the signs to the gents toilet, but couldn't find it.  I finally realised that the queue of "ladies" were the gents... argh!

** This outfit did give rise to some calls of "Hey, Mr. Muscle!" while walking down from the Trenchard car park.  Unfortunately (disappointingly) I realised later that they meant Mr. Muscle the oven cleaner, and that this was not a reflection of my physique.  Ho hum, maybe next time I'll put a bit more effort into my outfit...

The Bristol LeRoc / modern jive dance classes are diverse and provide a blend of teaching styles and music styles that are complimentary. If you want to keep them... go to your classes and support them! Check out the free dance, music and theatre clipart images in the new Clipart Library

A great night indeed - glad you enjoyed.  Shame it won't be in Bristol again for another 3 years or more, but at least you'll have plenty of time to get a more elaborate outfit  :)
