Nailsea LeRoc: Thursday 15th July 2010
« on: July 16, 2010, 07:29 AM »
Hi All

Here is the routine for last night:

Beginners

- Arch
- First move
- Loophole
- (Basket)

Intermediates

- Continuous butterfly
- High towel x2
- Low towel x2 (flick spin into sway exit)
- Cataput archie (with manspin)
- Reverse catapult (knee-drop backspin exit)

The catapult archie was a continuation of the evolution of the catapult moves that I have been teaching over the last few sessions.

Adding in the reverse catapult with the knee-drop backspin turned the two variations into almost identical (but symmetrically opposite) moves.  (Wax on, wax off... good training for equal but opposite leads with both hands).

A strange night - when we went in there was a light drizzle, and when we came out there were huge puddles in the roads, branches ripped off trees, leaves everywhere... it looked like a tornado had hit.  Very strange.  Ho hum!

John.

P.S. Alisa - don't worry, you didn't melt in the rain!
The Bristol LeRoc / modern jive dance classes are diverse and provide a blend of teaching styles and music styles that are complimentary. If you want to keep them... go to your classes and support them! Check out the free dance, music and theatre clipart images in the new Clipart Library
