Well, to be honest John--I don't think you'd loose customers if you had to finish at 1am. You'd just have to forward the 'Switch' & the grub to 11pm. It would still be a pretty late finish. Anyway--see you at the next one !  :)

, we have had to fight hard to maintain the 2am finish as we believe this is one of the main attractions ,

I feel you are nearly right John
Although I rarely make it right through to 2 am, I never leave Switch feeling my evening ended too soon. Last night’s dance finished at 1 am and I personally would have liked just a few more dances
But, the real attraction of Switch is of course, the Chip butties and as lovers of butties will know; they just don’t taste right, eaten early in the evening

(or with mayo on! Yeuch!)

Anyway, the later finish is something that is difficult to get.  Most places have so many restrictions and license requirements that they just mess with your head.

That's usually the reason for finish times on dances - it's dependent on the venue.
The Bristol LeRoc / modern jive dance classes are diverse and provide a blend of teaching styles and music styles that are complimentary. If you want to keep them... go to your classes and support them! Check out the free dance, music and theatre clipart images in the new Clipart Library

Very True John G

I don’t think many people are aware of the amount rules, regulations and licensing requirements that govern and restrict putting on a dance

A very big thank you  to John B for finding a venue with a 2am licence

Usually support the Filton dance, so think we'll be staying local this weekend--hope there's still plenty of freestyle in between the Comps for those of us who aren't competing  :)
