Easyjet flight to glasgow is about £40 per person, taxi £15 each way, rooms are about £50 per night based on 2 sharing

I reckon 2 people for a long weekend in Glasgow works out at about £220 before food and entry to the event.

Never been to Glasgow - is it scarey?

Drove past the Gorbals once.

Scared the crap out of me! :o

Rest of it looked OK though.  Bits of it looked a bit like Bath.

I worked in Glasgow for 12 years. It's fine! Lovely people. Some no-go areas, like any city, but no more scary than Bristol

I booked my hotel room for it today. Looking at the flights from Bristol, it seems that we're restricted to 2 flights out of Glasgow on the Sunday - one far too early (9:45), and the other quite late (21:05). What's everyone else doing? (Those who are going, that is...)
