This is a bit of a late reply but oh well, here goes!  :)

The dance floor itself, in the Scotch Horn leisure centre, is very spacious and fairly decent to dance on. The beginners class gradually takes off as more and more dancers, of all levels, arrive. When the beginners session finishes, 15 minutes of freestyle is allocated. Then, whilst the intermediate session takes place, another teacher takes the beginners into a separate room and teaches an additional linking move. Tom & Diana teach the beginner and intermediate lesson - they are both very welcoming and friendly, as well as being great dancers. :D Once the intermediate session is over there is usually about 45-50 minutes freestyle. My ownly criticism would be about the temperature. The room is not air-conditioned and there are a only a few fans, so you get alot of sweaty bodies and flustered faces :o But luckily there is always cold water and ice on the bar for you to take. :) There are some brilliant dancers, very nice people and a good atmosphere - definitely one of my favourite classes!  :D The evening finishes at 10.30.

For only £5.00 it is definitely worth it!

............ so you get alot of sweaty bodies........... The evening finishes at 10.30pm

And then, unless thing have changed .virtually the entire class, including the teachers, go to the pub

This is what makes Nailsea unique  O0

We do still go to the pub, so nothing has changed on that front but that is only one of the unique things about NailseaLeRoc.....
When a 113 year old man was asked the reason for his longevity,  he said " When it rains, I let it."

Had a brilliant night at Nailsea last thursday at the xmas party night.  The role reversal class was a good laugh as always and I really enjoyed the dance afterwards.  Thanks again to Dianne and the gang and of course all the lovely ladies who danced with me.  It is a long way to go and after another hard day at the office I was in two minds whether to go or not but I was glad I did.

Done my first Class last night and really enjoyed it. I had some trouble with the intermed.s which was entirely the fault of my lady partners  :D ;) - i was too distracted  >:D Hope i can try a move or two at Filton, Sat.

I'd tended to disregard N. as it involved a bit of driving, due to my concern for the environment (and possibly my bank balance) but i should be finishing my job at 19:00 hours, now and so could just freshen up, slip into something more comfortable and just blow the engine out down the M5 (after all urban driving) to Clevedon. I like the idea of some Thursday dancing if i can't do any on weekend.  :)

I've been to quite a few of the classes over the years, but never to Nailsea oddly enough.

I know Diana and Tom though - lovely couple.

Must try to get there one day.
