Hi Justine,

Welcome to the LeRoc In Bristol forum!

Well, you're registered which is a good start, and you've created a new message - that's pretty much most of it!

To reply to an existing conversation, you can click on it, and you will see everyone's thoughts on a particular matter.

There should be a "reply" button which you can click - this allows you to add your own thoughts on to the end of the message so you can join in with everyone else.

Oh yes, as for the dances this weekend... there is a dance listing for the whole of Bristol on this site in another area - the page you want is

www.leroc-in-bristol.co.uk/Events_Calendar.asp

Have a look and you should see all that's coming up.  This Friday there's one event coming up - not sure whether it's a standard leroc dance or not, but it looks interesting.  You can view the details for that on the Events (Details) page here:

http://www.leroc-in-bristol.co.uk/Events_Details.htm#FolkHouse_JazzBandBall

That's about it really!

There are a few pointers about what each board is for - such as advertising, asking for help, talking about anything you want, etc.  Don't worry if you make a mistake - it's all nice and relaxed here.

Ask anytime you want any help, and you can also use the "help" button at the top of the screen.

Oh yes, you can also view the "profile" section to set up your personal preferences and details, such as picking visible names to show next to your messages and things like that.

Enjoy!

John.

Hi Justine,

On the Events Calendar, if you click on the map icon you get taken to the venue.

As a shortcut though, you could just click here and you'll see the venue details:

http://www.leroc-in-bristol.co.uk/Venues_FolkHouse.htm

Oh yes, one thought - if possible, can you use a smaller version of your avatar - yours is rather large!

I've done one possible option that still looks very artistic...  though I guess if you can put that together then you won't have any trouble sorting out a smaller one yourself!

Enjoy

If you look at the top right of the screen, you should see something along the lines of "Hey Justine, you have x messages, y of which are new".

Click on either of those numbers and you should see your messages, like email.

Hi Phil

There is an event this Friday at the Folk House, but it's not specifically a LeRoc event so don't know how much room there will be for dancing.

However, the weekend after (Saturday 22nd January) is the Clifton LeRoc Folk House Benefit Dance.  This includes a buffet and dancing through to midnight.  All profits to The Folk House to help with upkeep of the building.

If you can, get tickets in advance so that we can get the catering numbers right.  It's quite soon so if you email with a booking I'll have tickets waiting on the door at the pre-booked price (£7). Food from 8.00pm to 9.30pm with catering for veggies too.

I'll post this in the announcements and advertising sections too!!
