Folk House Dance Jan 22nd
« on: January 11, 2005, 11:22 AM »
Saturday 22nd January is the Clifton LeRoc Folk House Benefit Dance.  This includes a buffet and dancing through to midnight.  All profits to The Folk House to help with upkeep of the building.

If you can, get tickets in advance so that we can get the catering numbers right.  It's quite soon so if you email with a booking I'll have tickets waiting on the door at the pre-booked price (£7). Food from 8.00pm to 9.30pm with catering for veggies too.

I can't give you the list, but there are loads of people going. We have had reservations through the internet and tickets bought in advance last night and at the University.  People coming from Taunton etc.

See you all there.

Looking forward to it... the food was good last time we turn't up... shame its not summer - else we could sit out in the patio shaded area... and watch the sun set etc....

Hiya John,

Could you pop a ticket on hold for me, too, please?

BTW - Last night, at Portishead, Maurice did announce it was on - so fingers crossed you'll get even more interest!  :)

Phil,

Is that really you in that photo?  I'm impressed!   ;D  Mind you, I did think that we should have taken our skis with us last night, as the weather became a little on the white side............

John,

Well done with the music - it was a very, very good set!!  Fabulous!

Thanks to Marty for the dances - going to those work shops has certainly added to your variety of moves!  Keep going with the blues stuff!  And many thanks to the others, including Lou and Martin - I really enjoyed myself  ;D (except for the yanker - I have a stiff arm this morning!  :'()  Actually, I will put a seperate post about this some time!

Elaine
All in all a good night though

>:D I kept my hold & frame loose, so I didn't get injured. However, it meant I couldn't follow so well. So I just smiled sweetly & let him explain to me how to do a free spin.  ;)

Yup - I ended up having a lot of fun last night. But I didn't realise quite how territorial some people could be with their chairs.....  ::)

And I was a wee bit wicked!  >:D
