Hi All,

This came in from Tango West:

Quote
Hi everybody

We're pleased to announce beginning this month - our new curriculum classes starting with ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS tomorrow Sunday 6 November at Oddfellows Hall, 20 West Park, Clifton, Bristol at 7pm which will include a 1 hour dance practica - your first social dancing experience with your new found skills.  Recent beginners are also welcome to attend, indeed it is advisable, if at all possible for new beginners to take these classes, this is the accepted way  to refine and improve your tango!  Also, the practica will be a great way to meet new friends and potential dance partners.

The class is led by Cesar Velasquez a highly acclaimed performer and professional dance teacher of Argentine Tango and also other Latin American dances.  He and his partner Carolina Prado Gonzalez have taught and performed internationally for some years and we are delighted that Cesar is currently our resident teacher.  Carolina will be returning to us soon, Cesar and Carolina recently had their first baby.

Whatever the level class, the format of the classes will be quite structured as in other serious dance art forms to facilitate progress.  This structure allows for pupils to learn logically and better still, afterwards, pupils are able to recall easily what they learned due to the class format.  The new curriculum has been designed with this in mind.  Tango is a difficult dance to learn and this method most successfully used  in the classes in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where tango originated.

From the beginning, you will learn not only about how to dance tango, you will learn about the different styles, history, etiquette, music and many other interesting facts about tango.

We look forward to meeting new beginners and recent beginners tomorrow evening.

Best wishes

ALL AT TANGO WEST

Regards

John.
