Hi All,
This board is here to try to help anyone who wants a lift to a dance or LeRoc event, or who has a spare space in the car and wants to share costs.
Such places as the Jive Magic dances in Cardiff are excellent examples of where it's good to share: you can get your bridge money back again if the car's got 4 people in!
Plus you get to have a social drink while you're out, if you're so inclined! If you're driving you shouldn't be drinking too...
A few safety rules though:
1. If you're on your own, make sure that the person you share with is someone you know.
2. If you don't know the person, take the precaution of letting a friend know where you're going, or take a friend with you. Safety in numbers etc.
3. Make sure you have a lift home, as well as a lift there!
4. Agree the share costs, to make sure everyone's happy at the end of the night. i.e. don't take advantage of your carshare! Even something as simple as a pint of beer as a "thank you" will go a long way with a lot of people.
Remember: Car sharing is done at your own risk.
Some common sense rules, but worthwhile remembering.
I personally have found that the LeRoc dancers are the safest social group I know, but... just take care, OK? This is your mother speaking!

John.
