Hello Kaz,

Can you post a few more details, e.g. who's teaching, level of class, content of class, etc?

Many thanks.  :) :)

Yeah, I'd be really keen to find out a few more details too. Just getting into WCS - went to my 2nd workshop today with Paul and Cat. Picked it up a bit quicker this time but def need to practise it more - shame there's not a weekly class anywhere, or fortnightly even. Lovely dance though - I just want to get better at  it though  :D

;) :) :P

I believe that Cat's going to be teaching monthly at St Bon's soon. Am just waiting for some details from Sherif before I can stick 'em up on the website.  :)

The class is being taught by Ed Lawton from Stoke On Trent & is starting from absolute beginners

Provisional dates for subsequent classes:

19/03
02/04
07/05
04/06
02/07
13/08
03/09

They've had a reasonable amount of interest so far apparently & I expect there will be some interest from the Bristol Lindy crowd.

Sandra is one of the local line dancers (Krazy Gang) who put on a WCS class in Nailsea last year.

if its the same bloke, he used to be on the line dance scene. From what i can remember, hes quite a big bloke with a beard/goatee type thing visually wouldnt give the impression of a being a dancer, but amazingly light on his feet, hes pretty hot at two-step too, thats if its the same person.

hes a top teacher, ive donea a few workshops of his on line dance weekendrs

so if it is the same fella doing these classes, you'll be in good hands.

Excellent. In addition, Sherif's announced some dates for Cat & Lee. These will be from 2-6 on Sundays & include a t-dance.

April 16 - At the Filton Folk Centre
May 7 (could clash with Yatton) - at St Bon's
Jun 25 - at St Bon's

Mmmm..... lots of WCS....  ;D

Great news.  :D But I see that these dates all clash with proposed WCS workshops in Oxford, but that shouldn't detract from the numbers attending.

Spoke to him last weekend and he said he will be starting with beginners in particular the 'feel 'of how the dance should be If there are any intermediate west coasters turn up then he may teach some intermed.too. Hes a brill dancer and instructor  8) definately worth checking out
