A little of back to basics last night after a farily intricate set of beginner's moves the previous week - not a bad thing now and again, owing to fact that some people seem to want grip your fingers like they're extras in that 'cliffhanger' film or what was the film about arm wrestling 'up and over' - or am i thinking eddy waring? It was all about leading one's partner with a light touch.

Managed to try out some of Clifton's monday intermediate moves on one or two compliant partners which flowed reasonably well. Had a dance to 'valerie' - stevie windwood (bit slow but more to my taste - we had had a fairly heavy dose of swing  :( and the the detroit emeralds :) ) all topped-off with a couple of pints of butcombe blonde in the slightly rowdy wetherspoons. Plan to do intermediates next week - could do with a little more support.
